We are extremely excited to welcome internationally acclaimed and award winning baritone, Roderick Williams (OBE), to the Faculty to lead a masterclass open to all Faculty vocalists. In this masterclass, students will have the opportunity to perform their current repertoire to Roderick, benefiting from feedback and advice, gained from his incredibly successful career as a performer.

Roderick Williams is one of the UK's most sought-after baritones and is constantly in demand on the concert platform and in recital, encompassing repertoire from the baroque to world premieres.

Opera engagements have included major roles at leading opera houses worldwide including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Dutch National Opera, Dallas Opera, the Bregenz Festival and Oper Köln.  He has been involved in many world premieres including Alexander Knaifel's Alice in Wonderland, several operas by Michel van der Aa, the title role in Robert Saxton's The Wandering Jew, and the UK premiere of Sally Beamish's Judas Passion with the Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment.

Rémy Ballot and OUO Solo Players - Bruckner: String Quintet, Mathilde Kralik: Nonet

Following their successful chamber ensemble programme of Mozart and Strauss last January, violinist and conductor Rémy Ballot is joined by a chamber ensemble drawn from members of OUO to give a concert that presents Bruckner’s resplendent String Quintet alongside the work of his student, Mathilde Kralik. Kralik’s Nonet is scored for the rare combination of clarinet, bassoon, two horns, string quartet and piano.
