Two recent Music alumni soprano Maryam Wocial (Lincoln College, 2019) and pianist Matthew Clemmet (Christ Church, 2021) will be performing at Shipston Song as this part of this year's Rising Stars recital. The performance features Brahms Liebeslieder-Walzer and takes place on Sunday 21 September at 3.30pm at St Kenelm's Church, Church Enstone (OX7 4NN). The festival also includes a performance from alumnus Roderick Williams OBE (Magdalen College, 1984), one of the UK's most sought-after baritones, who will be leading a masterclass with current students in the coming term.

Shipston Song is an annual festival taking place on the edge of the Cotswolds, founded by Artistic Director and pianist Ian Tindale. Renowned song interpreters such as James Gilchrist, Helen Charlston and Harriet Burns have appeared at the festival, and in 2025 Roderick Williams and Katie Bray will both perform repertoire ranging from Schumann, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Hanns Eisler and Michael Head.
