The Faculty of Music would like to sincerely thank the Castalian String Quartet for all they have contributed as the Hans Keller String Quartet in Residence at Oxford. Since 2021, the Castalians have brought outstanding artistry and generosity to our community, through concerts, performance coaching, composition workshops, and outreach work.

Following the news that the quartet has decided to come to an end, we are very pleased and grateful that the Cosman Keller Art & Music Trust will continue to support the provision of chamber music activity at the University for another year. This includes performance work with the new Adler Quartet, formed by Natalie Loughran and Steffan Morris of the Castalian String Quartet, as well as additional activity with Castalian violinists Sini Simonen and Daniel Roberts. This is an especially exciting moment as the chamber music programme moves into the new Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, which will provide world-class spaces for performance, rehearsal, and public engagement.
