Dr James Donaldson appointed to Indiana University, Bloomington

Dr James Donaldson (Christ Church, 2010), currently a College Lecturer in Music at Magdalen College, will be taking up a new position from August as Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Indiana University, Bloomington. After graduating from Oxford, James went on to further study at King's College, London and McGill University. At Oxford he primarily teaches modules in music analysis. His research interests centre on the theory and analysis of twentieth- and twenty-first-century music, with articles appearing in Music Theory Spectrum, the Journal of Musicology, and Music Analysis.
