Congratulations to Chloe Rooke (2015, St Catherine's College) who has been named as one of this year's Classic FM Rising Stars. Each year the list shines a light on 30 musicians under the age of 30 who the organisation believes are doing something special.

Since graduating from Oxford in 2018, Chloe came to international attention after winning the Contemporary Award at the first International Conducting Competition in Rotterdam in May 2022 and the Audience Prize at the Donatella Flick-LSO Conducting Competition in 2021. She was subsequently invited to conduct the LSO in family concerts at the Barbican and made her mark at Kings Place with the London Sinfonietta and in a New Year's concert with the BBC Concert Orchestra, and was Assistant Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic in 22/23.
