The Faculty of Music and Bate Collection of Musical Instruments have been featured in the September 2026 issues of BBC Music Magazine and Music Teacher.

In BBC Music Magazine, Natasha Loges explores how the Schwarzman Centre brings together Oxford’s musical resources, creating new opportunities for performance, teaching, and research. The feature highlights the Centre’s new facilities and specialist spaces for music-making, while also reflecting on the University’s rich musical traditions.

The Music Teacher feature showcases the newly reopened Bate Collection of Musical Instruments, highlighting the education workshops and how school pupils have the opportunity to handle and play historic instruments.
